Shooter's exciting stage act relives the music and the magic of the 50s and 60s. A time when rock'n'roll was king, when mersey beat was born and when the music was electrifying.
formed in 1983, shooter very soon earned the reputation of being one of the finest 60s revival bands in the uk.
with the traditional line-up of guitar, bass and drums, plus their strong vocal harmonies, shooter became a regular attraction at 60s weekends, theme nights and cabaret venues. Delighting audiences all over britain with their totally live & exciting performance.
band members:
keith hubbard - guitar & vocals - began his career in various merseyside bands during the mid 60s. In 1969 he became a member of the british cast of the rock musical hair. In 1971 keith helped to form rock band caliban who were regulars at liverpool's legendary cavern club and on 27th may 1973 caliban played at the club's closing night, making keith one of a select group of musicians to grace the original cavern stage. During the mid 70s keith enjoyed a term with hit pop band chicory tip then, after stints with various bands, he formed shooter.
jeff walker - drums - started his career in 1982 in local gospel groups. Throughout the latter 1980s jeff performed with various indie’ bands, and in 1990 he recorded extensively as a member of wild honey, making many appearances on national t.v and radio. After wild honey jeff toured with the max bacon band, 80s cover band decade and more recently soultrade supporting and backing big name acts including the world famous platters. Now with shooter, jeff provides the driving rhythms that are required when performing the sounds of the 50s & 60s.
mike rimmer - bass guitar & vocals - picked up his first guitar in the days of mersey beat. By the late 60s mike had graduated to bass guitar, serving his apprenticeship in various rock bands. Mike joined folk/blues duo, jim and raphael, and appeared on radio one’s mike raven’s blues show, in a session recorded at the bbc’s legendary maida vale studios. Now with shooter mike provides the bass rhythms and strong harmonies required when performing the songs from pop music’s greatest era.
