About Joseph Junior:
Born in london of nigerian parents joseph grew up listening to jazz legends such as ella fitzgerald, cole porter, al jarreau; george benson to motown and british soul funk acts such as sade, omar, brand new heavies etc.
after extensive training at the soul experience vocal academy in voice building and techniques, joseph had the opportunity to provide back up vocals for desree; maxi priest; alison limerick; and also for mick hucknall, chrissie hynde and jocelyn brown. He then went on to showcase his talents at legendary venues as the jazz cafe, the scala; ronnie scott’s royal albert hall soho jazz festival.
a chance meeting with an unsigned vocalist and songwriter, queeley, led to recording and vocal arrangement session at the legendary larry gold and gamble & huff studios in philadelphia, usa.
he is currently recording with the black style mood project from switzerland as well as working on his own solo album recorded in switzerland and philadelphia.
as well as being a recording artist, joseph is involved in song writing for publishing and has written for other unsigned acts like jazz funk band "freefall" and various house music producers.
currently features with the black style mood on the compilation cd soul unsigned vol 1 with a track called “closer”
solo album “outside the box” will be released in the end of summer 09
available as a duo with guitarist or keyboardist and also with a full live band if needed
