About The Railing Stains:

The railing stains were formed by front man bob vernon-ward in the mid nineties.within two years the band was performing to crowds of over 50,000 and supporting acts such as oasis....
this was followed by a production deal with sony (australia) for the rugby world cup and the legendary producer charlie skarbeck (credits include: shirley bassey, paul young................)
this coincided with a name change to the widkatz and saw jesse wood (son of rolling stones ronnie) join the band for a three year period.
the band played at many high profile venues including the famous eel pie club (the birth place of many of the greatest rock n roll bands), the brighton centre. But perhaps the greatest accolade was being chosen to headline a rolling stones night at the brixton academy by the stones themselves! Hey also played to an audience of 100s in a tribute to brian jones on the estate where he died to mark the 30th anniversary of his death, achapter in the adam claydon of brian jones’s life is dedicated to this.
in 2003 jesse left the band and they returned to their original name the railing stains.
this coincided with several gigs being played with the late great art wood (brother of ronnie) melding stones music with great rhythm and blues.
the band continue to play high profile gigs and parties under new management.
