Huw price is a guitarist and singer who is influenced by classic soul, bossa nova, deep funk, afrobeat and hard bop. He plays both his own compositions and a wide range of soul, jazz and latin classics. Huw is available for bookings for bars, restaurants, hotels, night clubs, members' clubs, weddings, private parties and corporate functions. He is smart and punctual, with his own transport and amplification system. His equipment is pat tested, and he has full public liability insurance.
huw performs in london several hundred times a year. Solo, with his duos or with his band, he has held residencies at some of the finest venues in town, such as: the trafalgar square hilton, eight members club, china white, the dogstar in brixton, the wyndham grand chelsea, revolution in the city, la gondola in battersea, the gaucho grill picadilly, the gaucho grill hampstead, number ten in ladbroke grove, the river lounge tower bridge, the guoman hotel tower bridge, the old dairy [crouch end], lost angel [battersea ]and viva viva [crouch end].
he has also played one-off engagements at venues such as claridge's, momo's, hampton court palace, the infinity club, sound, leeds castle, the light bar and 40:30 [at the top of the gherkin building]. Huw can perform as a solo artist or in duos / trios / quartets with amazing musicians like max grunhard [impossible ark / quantic], javier camilo [ronnie scotts / son de habana], roberto manzin [victor hugo / james brown], bukky leo [black egypt / fela kuti], renato d'aiello [curve / spotlite / 33jazz] and osamu yano. Huw can play in duos with either a sax player, another guitarist or a percussionist - or in a trio with a sax player and a percussionist. He can also play with his 4-piece band the riveras.
Technical & Ryder Info:
Huw can provide and operate a 600w PA system, loud enough for most situations. He needs a 3x3m floorspace within a few metres of a power point to set up.
