About Trio Watts:
Providing tasteful and elegant incidental music for functions, weddings and parties since 2004, trio watts was formed by london trumpeter andy watts. Originally based in auckland, new zealand, in 2006 andy moved to the uk to pursue further performance and education opportunities.
while still students at the university of auckland’s jazz department, andy and co-founder ben white (guitar), quickly gained a reputation as professional and articulate performers, with excellent stage presence. Influenced by such musicians as; freddie hubbard, chet baker, and randy brecker, watts is an exciting young talent.
trio watts play in a cool, 1950s style, with influences from their new york style ‘hot jazz' original work showing through. Their set is tailored to suit background music for dinners, functions, and weddings, but if requested, more challenging and explorative music can be added to the performance.

Background and incidental music for functions, featured performers if required. Trio watts have an enormous repertoire ranging from traditional jazz standards to more adventurous modern compositions. Depending on client and venue requirements, trio watts are available with either piano or guitar.
trio watts can play for up to 5 hours, split into 45-50 minute sets with short breaks between.
