Funkty dumpty formed early in 2004 and have built up a reputation as the best upbeat funk, soul & disco function band in the uk.

the band in its entirety is made up of 9 full-time musicians who between them have an astounding amount of experience in the live music arena and can entertain any crowd.

with the emphatic vocals of singers louise coady & lisa thomas and the highly acclaimed band and backing singers, the band have built up a repertoire of the best of funk, soul & disco classics including car wash, disco inferno & le freak and also play current chart hits from artists including christina aguilera, girls aloud and beyonc�.

the band can cater for all functions, from weddings to corporate events with a choice of a 6-9 piece band, including full brass section!

“dear steve, you guys were brilliant! Thank you so much! Louise and lisa were fantastic and i especially loved the first dance. We had such an amazing time at the wedding and i'm sure the success of the evening was largely down to you guys. I can honestly say that i think i spent almost the entire night on the dance floor and i'm pretty sure that it wasn't empty for a second. A special highlight for me was my 88 year old grandma having a boogie! We have had such fun looking at all the photos and seeing everyone having a good time dancing! There are some interesting video clips too! I must say a special thank you for accommodating the slightly random tamborine request and being patient with some probably rather poor percussionists!! I would happily reccommend you to others (we have a few friends not married yet!) And also very pleased that you were able to make the journey to cambridge! “i am sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you since the wedding but i've been away on honeymoon.

funkty dumpty were amazing!!!!! They went far beyond our expectations and everyone was raving about them! I would have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend them for other events and indeed i have already given your details to a few of my friends who are getting married over the next year.

i was a very disorganized bride and didn't even manage to get hold of the band before the day to say what kind of music we liked and in the end just got one of the ushers to give them a printout of their playlist with stars next to the ones we liked - not the best client i know! However, they were fantastic and played all our favourite music and had everyone dancing as soon as they started and we didn't stop dancing until 5am! I'm only sorry that i didn't get a chance to thank them in person before they left. Please could you pass on my thanks and i wish them great success in the future. I will definitely be looking them up again if i hold another event (not for a long time i suspect as i'm shattered after organizing the wedding!).”
